Big Brother meets climate narratives?

As climate activist Daze enters the Big Brother House, our Head of Unscripted, David Leach comments on how on how climate could become part of one of the most-watched TV formats.

One of the most popular and most-watched formats on TV this year has the potential for climate narratives. Daze, a climate justice activist, has entered the Big Brother house and has already had a few run-ins with farage-loving royalist Nathan.

What I love about Big Brother is that it acts as a barometer of societal norms and shows where young people's minds are on many issues that they care about. After a smooth and friendly start, divisions are appearing in the Big Brother house around 'being fake' and people's use of language. But what makes the series so bingeable is watching how these issues resolve themselves over a number of weeks.

Daze is up for eviction this week, not because of her climate activism, I must add. Hopefully, she will remain in the house and as the group gets smaller have the opportunity to share her story with the group. By working together, can they overcome their differences?
