In response to this week's announcement of a Group of Friends of Culture-Based Climate Action at COP28, Lucy Stone, Founder and Director of Climate Spring, said:

"The newly launched Group of Friends of Culture-Based Climate Action shows clear recognition of culture as a key driving force in combatting the climate crisis. We welcome the gathering of culture ministers at COP to explore their role in this.

Our culture both influences and is impacted by climate change. Leveraging culture and storytelling to confront the climate crisis is key to Climate Spring's mission. We wholeheartedly support this coalition and will continue to urge us all to participate in the Global Call to Action."
