Climate Spring Bursary for Writing Kit: The Six-Month Writing Course

Climate Spring is thrilled to partner with award-winning writer and 2026 Climate Fiction Prize judge Kit de Waal to offer a fully funded bursary spot to her upcoming writing course 'Writing Kit: The Six-Month Writing Course'.

Over six months, you'll explore the tools of strong storytelling and just as importantly, clarify what kind of writer you are and what kind of stories you feel compelled to tell. If you already have a body of work behind you, that’s brilliant. If you are just beginning, experimenting, or testing different forms, that is equally welcome. Whether you are starting a first draft or refining something more advanced, this course will ask you to think carefully, work consistently, and take your writing seriously. You will be supported, acknowledged, and respected throughout.

Find out more about the course here.

Applications for the Climate Spring bursary will close on 30th November.

The writing course will be held online, starting 16th January 2027, and continue for six months.

Apply by filling out this form.
