There Will Come Soft Rains nominated for Best UK Short and Best Live Action Short at Raindance Film Festival 2025

We are delighted to announce that short film There Will Come Soft Rains, co-written and directed by Elham Ehsas has been nominated for Best UK Short and Best Live Action Short at Raindance Film Festival 2025.

The Climate Spring-funded short film (and winner of Climate Spring's and Film London's Hot House Shorts Competition 2023) follows protagonist Mira, who, haunted by rising sea levels, defies tradition and her Muslim faith to dig up her father's grave. Leading her on a collision course with the authorities, faith and family, the story also emphasises the power of unity, forgiveness and second chances, both in saving ourselves and our planet.

The project utilised the Green Rider Handshake Agreement, allowing actors and productions to make greener choices on set.
