We are looking for a motivated and passionate Assistant Coordinator to join our team, to provide administrative support to Climate Spring’s Los Angeles-based US team as well as remotely to our London-based global team.

Contract type: Part time, Fixed Term, Consulting Contract for 18 months (six months probation, potential for extension)

Contract start date: August or September 2025

Rate: $30/hour for up to 30 hours/week

Location: Los Angeles, plus remote with London-based team

This is an exciting opportunity to become a member of the team for a unique non-profit development fund focused on commercial scripted and unscripted projects that address the climate crisis. This is a part time role working remotely.

THE COMPANY:

Climate Spring is a unique organisation working to develop content with the world’s leading production companies and broadcasters. We are a team made up of film and TV professionals, climate and funding experts. Our primary focus is on identifying, supporting and developing a range of long-form content that is commercially viable within the global English language market. We also provide consultancy and training support to the entertainment industry on climate storytelling within a commercial context. We provide funding, advice, connections, coordination and partnership.

THE ROLE:

We are looking for a motivated and passionate Assistant Coordinator to join our team, to provide administrative support to Climate Spring’s Los Angeles-based US team as well as remotely to our London-based global team. Los Angeles-based candidates who can attend some meetings in person are preferred.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Event and online course coordination. Provide administrative and logistical support for our Changing Climate Narratives Course and other educational offerings, including assisting with materials, registration, participant communication, etc. For virtual courses, manage online course delivery. For live events and workshops, manage venues, transportation, and other logistical planning.
  • To work closely with the UK Development Coordinator to ensure consistency of data input of the online databases, including contact lists and submissions trackers.  
  • Provide scheduling support to the international team including US based events

MINIMUM ROLE CRITERIA:

  • Passion for climate and environmental issues
  • Interest in film, TV and storytelling
  • Proficiency using digital tools, including Google office suite, Zoom, Airtable, etc.
  • Experience managing group virtual meetings with breakout rooms
  • Experience coordinating projects or programs
  • Experience handling confidential information with tact and sensitivity.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with a wide variety of internal and external colleagues and contributors.
  • Able to work as a member of a team and work in a confident and collaborative way.
  • Manage positive working relationships with colleagues.

To be considered for this opportunity you will need to demonstrate the following skills:

  • Technical/IT experience
  • Problem solving skills
  • Availability during both US and UK business hours
  • Communication skills - ability to express ideas clearly, write well and generate exciting ideas. Ability to condense large amounts of information into a clear brief.
  • Teamwork - ability to respond to the needs of the team, adapting and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS PREFERRED:

  • Los Angeles-based and available for in person meetings
  • Experience working in film/tv/streaming, especially in content development or at talent or management agencies
  • Knowledge of the entertainment industry and its business and creative trends.
  • Knowledge of climate change/environmental and sustainability trends.
